Not only does our store offer affordable items to our community, it also provides funding for other programs such as our food pantry, Christmas and Back-to-School programs. FROM is seeking a Full Time Thrift Store Associate to primarily run the cash register as well as assist in other areas such as the donation room.

Job Duties:

Running the cash register Closing out the cash register 3-5 days per week as scheduled Provide excellent customer service to our patrons Assist any department in need when designated to do so by Store Manager Keep up with general housekeeping throughout shift Complete tasks delegated by lead cashier Follow list of duties to be completed during downtime, such as returning items to stock, returning hangers to designated areas, etc. Communicate and collaborate as part of a team to support a positive experience for both volunteers and customers Schedule would be 30 hrs/per week with rotating Saturdays All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 1 years experience in retail preferred Cash handling experience Excellent customer service skills Ability to adapt to changing situations as part of a team Ability to build and maintain mutually respectful relationships with a diverse population Strong verbal communication skills Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and bend at the waist Must be able to handle stressful situations Must work well under pressure Must be able to stand for 8+ hours a day Evening availability required (Until 6:30 PM)
