Job Description
Goodwill Industries of St. Clair County is hiring part-time Retail Store Associates for our Marysville location. We are looking for dependable sales associates who possess effective and professional communication skills in dealings with customers, supervisors, and co-workers. Must be responsible for achieving excellent customer service, and stay up-to-date with procedures while maintaining our store's visual appearance and cleanliness in high standards. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Must have reliable transportation and proven record of attendance Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be able to pass a drug test. Physical Expectations Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, lift, reach, push and pull Ability to perform repetitive hand motions Responsibilities Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service Receiving, sorting, handling, pricing and selling donations Follow and achieve department's sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis Assist in stocking/merchandising sales floor Maintain and operate sales equipment properly and accurately Comply with inventory control procedures Follow opening and closing procedures Maintain a clean and operable work environment Remain knowledgeable of and promote Goodwill's Mission Knowledge of Health and Safety Guidelines Skills Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices Basic Math skills Hands-on experience with POS transactions Familiarity with inventory procedures Solid communication and interpersonal skills A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus Ability to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum customer satisfaction Availability to work weekends.
