Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail sales and a strong ability to connect with customers. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring an outstanding shopping experience in our grocery store environment. •Must be available some nights and alternating weekends. Looking for someone able to work into the fall/winter and Spring/Summer Duties Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Demonstrate products through effective product demos to enhance customer knowledge and drive sales. Assist customers with their purchases, including upselling additional products when appropriate. Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by regularly restocking shelves and managing inventory levels. Supervise junior staff members during shifts to ensure smooth operations and adherence to company policies. Utilize basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and efficiently at the register. Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and enhance overall customer satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers quickly. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Experience in supervising or leading teams is a plus. Ability to effectively demonstrate products and engage customers through product demos. A proactive approach to upselling products based on customer needs.
