- Responsibilities Provide personalized customer service by understanding individual needs and recommending suitable products.
Educate customers on product effects, usage methods, and safety guidelines through engaging product demos. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and sales processing. Maintain accurate inventory levels through merchandising, stocking, and regular stock checks to ensure product availability. Assist with store merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that highlight featured products. Uphold compliance with all legal regulations and store policies regarding age restrictions and product sales. Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products and store hours while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Support upselling initiatives to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, enhancing their shopping experience. Supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed, fostering a collaborative environment. Experience Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or similar setting, is highly desirable. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential for smooth transaction processing. Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership capabilities are a plus for team support roles. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management. Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on professionalism, patience, and active listening. Knowledge of retail math principles related to sales tracking and stock management helps optimize store operations.
