Bahle Farms Golf Course is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Front Desk Staff Member to join our golf operations team. This position is one of the most important customer-facing roles at Bahle Farms. As the first point of contact for many guests, the Front Desk / Pro Shop Associate is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional, and enjoyable experience from the moment a golfer calls or walks through the door. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to confidently assist golfers with tee times, check-in, payments, merchandise, course information, and general questions.

Primary ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service Welcome all guests to Bahle Farms in a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic manner. Create a positive first and last impression for every golfer visiting the facility. Provide exceptional customer service to passholders, members, public golfers, golf groups, and first-time visitors. Answer questions regarding tee times, rates, course conditions, policies, events, leagues, lessons, and general golf operations. Assist guests with special requests and do everything reasonably possible to make their experience enjoyable. Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally, calmly, and respectfully. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the golf shop and clubhouse. Develop positive relationships with regular customers and passholders. Represent the Bahle Farms brand and standards in every customer interaction. Phone & Communication Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and professionally. Book, modify, and cancel tee times over the phone. Answer questions about rates, availability, course conditions, events, policies, and general facility information. Communicate important information to golfers regarding weather, course conditions, delays, outings, leagues, and other operational changes. Take accurate messages and communicate information to the appropriate staff member. Maintain a professional and friendly tone during all phone interactions. Tee Time Management Book and manage tee times using the course's tee sheet and Club Caddie system. Confirm golfer names, number of players, date, time, and other necessary reservation information. Make adjustments to tee times when necessary. Monitor the tee sheet throughout the day and communicate changes to the golf operations team. Help maximize the tee sheet by properly filling open times and managing groups. Understand and enforce Bahle Farms' tee time, cancellation, no-show, and pairing policies. Assist with pairing groups when appropriate and directed by management. Communicate with the starter and outside golf staff to maintain an organized flow of play. Pro Shop Operations Operate the point-of-sale system and process cash, credit card, and other transactions accurately. Check golfers in prior to their round. Assist passholders and guests with registration and applicable discounts or benefits. Sell merchandise, golf balls, gloves, apparel, beverages, and other pro shop products. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional-looking golf shop. Restock merchandise and communicate inventory needs to management. Assist customers with merchandise selection and basic product questions. Maintain accurate cash drawer and transaction records. Follow all procedures related to opening and closing the golf shop. Golf Course & Facility Support Stay informed about daily course conditions, maintenance activities, weather delays, tournaments, leagues, and special events. Communicate course information accurately to guests. Help ensure golfers understand and follow Bahle Farms policies and golf etiquette. Assist with rain checks, cancellations, and other customer-service situations according to established policies. Work closely with the Director of Golf, golf professionals, starters, outside staff, and other departments. Assist with tournament and event registration when needed. Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and clubhouse environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Golf. Be comfortable answering a high volume of phone calls. Be organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Have basic computer and cash-handling skills. Be comfortable learning and operating Club Caddie and other golf course technology. Be dependable and punctual. Be willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during the golf season. Have an interest in golf or experience working in a golf course, country club, hospitality, retail, or customer-service environment. Be willing to take initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done. Previous golf course or pro shop experience is preferred but not required. What Success Looks Like A successful Front Desk / Pro Shop Associate will ensure that: Every golfer feels welcomed when they arrive. Phone calls are answered quickly and professionally. Tee times are booked accurately. Customers are checked in efficiently. Transactions are completed accurately. The pro shop remains clean, organized, and fully stocked. Customer questions are answered confidently. Problems are handled professionally. Communication between the pro shop and golf course staff remains strong. Guests leave Bahle Farms feeling that they were treated well and had a great experience. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry approximately 25-40 pounds as needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment during peak golf periods. Ability to work outdoors and indoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
