Experienced Custom Cabinetry Shop Lead

Role:
As Shop Lead, you will bridge the gap between project planning and shop execution. You'll oversee daily fabrication of modern full overlay and inset cabinetry, custom millwork, and unique architectural furniture. Beyond hands-on craftsmanship, you will guide shop flow, assist team members with technical details, ensure quality standards, and keep projects moving efficiently on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Workflow & Leadership:
Lead daily shop operations, coordinate daily huddles, assign project tasks, and keep production schedules on track.
Hands-on Craftsmanship:
Build high-end custom cabinetry and millwork while setting the standard for quality and precision.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished components and assemblies to maintain our luxury standards before projects move to finishing or installation.
Team Support & Mentorship:
Guide and support shop technicians, troubleshoot custom joinery or build challenges, and help foster continuous learning.
Process Improvement:

Who We're Looking For:
5+ years of experience in custom residential or commercial cabinet making, with previous leadership, lead hand, or supervisory experience preferred. Deep knowledge of custom construction details, inset/full overlay systems, hardware, and shop machinery. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with an approachable, team-first mindset. Ability to read complex shop drawings, anticipate production bottlenecks, and proactively solve problems.
