Part-Time Sales Associate - Daytime + Some Early Evenings. Are you a people person? Do you enjoy talking to people, making them feel welcome and helping them find something they love? Bender's Shoes & Gifts in Grand Rapids is looking for a Part-Time Sales Associate—and we believe great salespeople are made up of personality, not just experience. You don't have to know everything about shoes, clothing or gifts when you walk through our door. We can teach you the products. What we can't teach is the ability to connect with people, listen, have a conversation and make someone feel comfortable. If you're naturally friendly, curious, confident and enjoy helping people, you might be exactly who we're looking for! What You'll Be Doing At Bender's, no two customers are exactly alike.

You might be:

Helping someone find the perfect pair of shoes Putting together an outfit they feel great in Helping someone find a gift for a hard-to-shop-for person Asking questions and listening to what the customer really needs Showing customers something they didn't know they were looking for Keeping the store stocked, organized and looking its best Jumping in to help your teammates when needed The Personality We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Likes people. You enjoy talking with customers and making connections. Is curious. You ask questions and want to understand what the customer needs. Is confident. You're not afraid to approach someone, start a conversation or make a recommendation. Is positive. You bring good energy to the sales floor. Is dependable. When you say you'll be here, you show up and give your best. Is a team player. You're willing to jump in and help wherever you're needed. Has initiative. You see what needs to be done instead of waiting to be asked. What About Experience? Retail experience is great—but personality matters more. We can teach you about our shoes, clothing, gifts, brands and products. We can teach you how we sell. What we're looking for is someone who already knows how to talk to people, listen, smile, have fun and make customers feel taken care of. The Schedule Our biggest need is someone who has strong weekday daytime availability . We will also need some early evening shifts and occasional weekends , so flexibility is important. Why Bender's?
