Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated part - time Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for greeting customers, assisting them with their shopping needs, and driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge. Available to work evenings and weekends are a must. Duties Work on your feet during shift (5-8 hours) lift 40lbs. Provide customer service by greeting customers and assisting them to find products. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions. Maintain accurate cash handling practices and ensure the register is balanced at the end of each shift. Knowledge about products to educate customers about features and benefits. Assist in merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked and presentable. Perform stocking duties to replenish inventory on the sales floor as needed. Utilize basic math skills for accurate pricing, discounts, and cash handling. Have computer skills to use Point of Sale and Internet to look up items for customer and online purchases. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment. The ability to want to learn new things and assist customers with projects. Skills Strong communication skills communicate with customers and team members. Experience in retail sales and computer skills. Knowledge of basic math and retail math concepts for transaction accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced hardware store environment while maintaining attention to detail.
