The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a passion for assisting customers, and contributing to a positive rental experience for our customers. As a Sales Associate at Bauer's Custom Hitches & U-Haul Dealer, you will play a crucial role in renting out and checking in U-Haul trucks and trailers, filling propane tanks, and selling convenience store merchandise. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with whatever is needed. Operate cash registers and handle transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and basic math calculations. Engage in sales techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, product features, and store policies to effectively assist customers. Restock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the store is visually appealing and well-stocked. Use your own mobile phone to dispatch and receive in U-Haul trucks and trailers. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in customer service is preferred. Proficiency with cash registers and POS systems is helpful, but training is available. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers, but not required. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. (e.g., filled propane tanks). Some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights, and moving equipment assisted or unassisted. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn all the tasks required for this position.
