Job Description

The Sales Associate (SA) will be a cooperative team player responsible for providing an organized, retail appearance throughout the sales floor and providing a pleasant experience to the shopper. Under the direction of the Store Manager, the SA monitors the inventory, emphasizes sales promotions, recovers and restocks merchandise, and operates the point-of-sales system. The SA will be the primary contact for the retail clientele.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Demonstrate dignity, respect, and positive attitude while working with people with disabilities. Implement marketing campaigns to support in-store merchandising, sales goals, and seasonal events. Compute sales prices, total purchases, operate register, and receive and process cash or credit payments. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices. Tag, arrange, and display merchandise to promote sales. Greet customers and recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based upon customer needs or inquiries. Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating credit card receipts and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits. Recover and restock merchandise. Become proficient in operation of all current sort room processes at Savvy Seconds. Be flexible in a busy retail setting in regards to job assignments and hours of work. Promote safety practices and procedures in all aspects of job duties, including, but not limited to: supervision of clients, program areas, transportation, community integration, lifting, and equipment. Abide by Unlimited Opportunities, Inc. Policies and Procedures as a condition of employment. Attend all training provided by Unlimited Opportunities, Inc. including, but not limited to: First Aid/CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Abuse and Neglect.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrate ability to lift at least 25 lbs. Possess basic math and calculator skills.
Desired:
Previous retail experience. Previous experience working with people with disabilities.
Pay:
$15.00 - $15.50 per hour Application Question(s): Are you available to work on Saturdays?
