Description $16.50/hr + $1/hr Shift Bonus 4pm-8am By performing both the Store Clerk and Store Maintenance duties, this is a Full-Time position. Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk and Store Maintenance Team Member to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with ever-increasing opportunities for career growth. As a Store Clerk team member, you will: be accountable for excellent customer service, cash handling and accounting, stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise, housekeeping inside and outside of the store, store safety and store security, and deli food sales and cooking. Operate computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise. remember regular customers' names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, police the store, detect shoplifters, and listen to and handle customer complaints. stock shelves and coolers, complete accurate and effective completion of shift work, clean and maintain all areas of the store, complete vendor check-in procedures, complete the protocol system and "drive off" controls, and advise the store manager of any situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance. sweep the lot, shovel snow, clean gas pumps, fill water/cleaning solution buckets on islands, and complete any other duties assigned by management. keep the hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked. perform all deli duties in smaller locations as described in the deli job description. As a Store Maintenance member, you will : be responsible for customer service, mechanical operation, repairs, housekeeping inside and outside the store, store security, and assisting store cashiers whenever possible. repair, grease, clean, and test fuel pumps, and associated equipment including refrigeration, HVAC systems, and control systems. Practice safe procedures in repairs and tool handling while wearing protective clothing and other necessary personal protective equipment. clean and paint buildings, sidewalks, fuel islands, etc. and handle building and property upkeep to include landscaping and trash and snow removal. You are exposed to cold and other outdoor weather conditions. maintain use or repair books, safety manuals, duty logs, pump inspections, and electrical schematics, and maintain lights to included lamp and ballast replacement. commit to keep the store running and come in as needed, interact with the public providing exceptional customer service. assist clerks or managers as needed.
