Music & Arts seeks a full-time Senior Sales Associate to support our mission of advancing music education in a high-energy retail environment. You'll lead by example on the sales floor, guiding customers through instrument purchases, rentals, repairs, and lesson enrollment. Responsibilities include meeting sales goals, providing expert product recommendations, assisting band and orchestra parents and educators, processing rentals, maintaining merchandising standards, and mentoring junior associates. You'll collaborate with local schools and lesson instructors, ensuring exceptional service and a welcoming, student-focused store experience. Responsibilities Deliver knowledgeable, friendly customer service for instruments, rentals, repairs, and lessons Meet and exceed individual and store sales and rental goals Advise students, parents, and educators on band and orchestra instrument options Process rentals, sales transactions, and lesson enrollments accurately Maintain merchandising, displays, and inventory organization Support store events and school outreach activities Mentor and support junior sales associates on products and sales techniques Resolve basic customer issues and coordinate with repair and lesson departments Required Skills Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Customer service Product knowledge - musical instruments Merchandising Cash handling Inventory management Sales reporting Rental contract processing Basic CRM or customer tracking tools
