A Retail Store Clerk sells merchandise or products in a retail store. Greets customers, adds customer sales totals and processes sales transactions. Arranges store merchandise and advertising displays. May assist with store opening and closing.
We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Team Members to join our crew! We have openings for both Early Morning Openers and Evening Closers . Whether you love starting your day before the sun rises or prefer working later in the day to securely close up shop, we have a shift that fits your schedule. In this role, you will be a vital part of our daily operations—handling cash transactions, greeting customers, preparing hot food, and keeping our store clean, fully stocked, and organized. Core Responsibilities (Varies by Shift):
Customer Service & Cashiering:
Open or close the cashier till, process customer sales accurately, manage the Montana Lottery system, and complete secure coin safe log handovers between shifts.
Food Prep & Cooking:
Operate commercial kitchen equipment (microwaves and fryers at 350°F), prepare fried food, portion food items, as well as trim, brine and bread chicken.
Merchandising & Restocking:
Keep hot food cases, coffee stations, pastry racks, energy drink displays, and walk-in coolers fully stocked, organized, and properly dated.
Equipment & Food Safety:
Monitor equipment temperatures, test cleaning chemical concentrations, filter fryer oil, and maintain correct temperature levels in the hot case.
Daily Cleaning & Maintenance:
Complete weekly cleaning charts, wipe down counters, sweep and mop floors, clean the bathroom, and manage trash removal to maintain a spotless store. Store Security (Evening Shift): Execute strict closing procedures, including turning off display cases/TVs, processing final till reports, and securely locking ice box, all windows, and doors upon exit.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Must be highly reliable and punctual for your scheduled shift (early morning or late evening). Ability to follow strict, structured checklists and prioritize top-priority tasks. Comfortable operating basic kitchen equipment (microwaves, commercial fryers, and oil filtration). Strong basic math skills for cash handling, balancing tills, and secure safe logs. Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift supply boxes, restock walk-in coolers, and lift trash bags. Must be at least 18 years old (required for beer and lottery sales).
