Join our vibrant thrift store team as a part-time Associate, working three days a week to create a welcoming shopping environment for our community! In this energetic role, you'll be the friendly face customers see when they walk through the door, assisting with sales, stocking merchandise, and providing exceptional customer service. We Are looking to add a part time person Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday each week. W/ T 9:30 to 5:15 Sat 9:30 to 3:15pm Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance about store products and promotions Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management Upsell items and promote product demos to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store remains clean, tidy, and visually appealing Assist with merchandising efforts to highlight featured items and optimize product placement Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support supervising staff with daily operations and ensure adherence to store policies Experience Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in thrift stores or grocery environments Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable Experience supervising or leading team members is a plus but not required Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing the cash drawer confidently Experience with grocery store operations or similar environments is advantageous but not mandatory Join us in creating a lively shopping destination where community connections flourish!
