Oak Island Sub Shop is looking for a dependable, friendly, and hardworking team member to help us serve great food and provide excellent customer service. Whether you have restaurant experience or are looking to learn, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed. As a Sandwich Maker / Crew Member, you'll prepare fresh food, assist customers, keep the shop clean and organized, and work alongside a small, close-knit team in a fast-paced, positive environment. If you enjoy staying busy, working with people, and being part of a locally owned business, we'd love to meet you. Job Responsibilities Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other menu items according to our quality standards. Greet customers, take orders, answer questions, and provide friendly, attentive service. Operate the POS system and process cash and credit card transactions. Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the day. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including the kitchen, dining room, and prep areas. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines. Work as part of a small team to keep daily operations running smoothly. Assist with opening, closing, and other assigned duties as needed. What We're Looking For Friendly, dependable, and punctual. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs. Previous food service or customer service experience is a plus, but not required—we're happy to train the right person. Experience using a POS system is helpful, but not required.
