Job Description
Position Summary:
The Capitol Center for the Arts is seeking a reliable and experienced part-time Bouncer to maintain a safe and secure environment for our patrons. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, as well as the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact.Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience in security or law enforcement preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with patrons, staff, and volunteers, and work well as part of a team. Ability to handle difficult and/or stressful situations dealing with the public (could include unruly or intoxicated patrons). Ability to handle emergency situations with professionalism and confidence. Ability to work in a high-activity, loud, and crowded environment. Ability to stand for extended periods of time and navigate stairs and/or elevator, and theatre seating areas. Ability to work flexible shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays) and days of the week as required by the performance and events schedule. Knowledge of local laws and regulations regarding alcohol and safety. Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing/certifications.Essential Functions:
Monitor and control access to the establishment. Maintain order and enforce rules and regulations, including but not limited to the CCA Weapons Policy and the CCA Bag Policy. Ensure that security protocols are being followed during hours of show operations. Be vigilant of suspicious activity from patrons and unknown persons. Support staff and patrons in efforts to ensure safety. Greet patrons with energy and enthusiasm upon entry. Treat patrons and guests with utmost respect and hospitality.
