Trendy Tots is a family-owned children's consignment boutique in Hazlet, NJ specializing in pre-loved and gently used kids clothes, shoes, toys, and baby gear from popular brands. We're looking for friendly, dependable team members who enjoy working with families, love keeping things organized and cheerful, and bring positive energy to every interaction. Because at Trendy Tots, we want to be part of every family's village. The right candidate will be available to work weekday shifts and occasional weekend shifts, as needed. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their shopping needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering, and checking for counterfeit bills. Process returns and refunds correctly. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, enhancing their purchasing decisions. Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction. Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising strategies. Assist with stocking shelves and inventory management to ensure product availability. Must have basic knowledge of social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) for sales to boost foot traffic to the store. Uphold phone etiquette while handling customer inquiries or complaints via phone. Respond to inquiries from customers and consignors via DMs on social media with pictures and videos of merchandise as needed Must be able to communicate effectively our Consignment Agreement to our customers. Inspect clothes and other items at intake and determine the ones that are in sellable condition Efficiently pricing and tagging merchandise to be sold at the store, as directed by Trendy Tots management. Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 20 lbs. Moving expired merchandise into clearance, storage, or donation as needed and as directed by Trendy Tots management. Experience Previous experience in retail sales is preferred, particularly within a children's or clothing store environment. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances communication with a diverse customer base. Experience in supervising staff is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a retail setting. Knowledge of retail math concepts will be beneficial for managing inventory and sales analysis.

Requirements:

Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable transportation. Must be 18 or older.
