Shambhu Coffee & Gelato is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Coffee Shop Team Member to support daily café operations. This role involves welcoming customers, taking orders, assisting with coffee, gelato, and other menu items, handling routine transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized service environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, and comfortable working in a busy café and dessert-service setting. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service. Take coffee, beverage, gelato, and food orders accurately. Assist customers with general questions about menu items and available options. Operate the POS system and process customer payments as needed. Assist with coffee, tea, gelato, and other food or beverage service. Communicate order details and customer requests clearly with team members. Serve gelato and other menu items according to established procedures. Keep counters, service stations, display areas, and customer spaces clean and organized. Replenish cups, cones, lids, napkins, utensils, ingredients, and other supplies. Assist coworkers during busy service periods to maintain efficient order flow. Support opening, closing, and other routine café responsibilities. Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures. Work cooperatively with team members to provide a positive customer experience. Qualifications Previous coffee shop, café, gelato, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful. Friendly, professional, and respectful approach to customers. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Comfortable working in a fast-paced café and dessert-service environment. Good attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and customer service. Able to learn POS systems, beverage preparation, and gelato service procedures.
