A Retail Sales Associate sells merchandise or products in a retail store. Provides information about store merchandise, assists customers with finding items and encourages sales.
The Storekeeper is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, including cashiering, receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining inventory accuracy, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, including handling cash, credit/debit transactions, and refunds Receive incoming merchandise, verify quantities, inspect for damage, and ensure proper documentation Stock shelves and displays according to store standards, ensuring products are well-organized and properly labeled Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts and audits Monitor stock levels and report low or damaged inventory to management Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times Assist customers with product inquiries, pricing, and general store needs Follow all company policies related to cash handling, safety, and loss prevention Support opening and closing procedures as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in retail, cashiering, or inventory management preferred Ability to accurately handle cash and operate POS systems Strong organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Basic math skills and comfort working with inventory systems Ability to lift, move, and stock merchandise as required Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Good communication and customer service skills

Standing for extended periods Lifting and carrying merchandise (as required by store operations) Working in a retail store environment with regular customer interaction
