Job Description

Together with cannabis industry-leading dispensary design and technology, the A21 dispensary team delivers a retail cannabis experience as it is meant to be experienced. As the first smart-tech dispensary in NJ, A21 Wellness Dispensary strives to provide a seamless experience for all guests through our technology platforms, providing knowledge to those who need it in a variety of ways and making recommendations to all guests who visit the dispensary.
Position Summary:
The Cannabis Experience Specialist works one-on-one with guests to recommend products that best match their needs. The CES is responsible for ensuring an excellent guest experience through friendly, outgoing service, strong communication skills, and fluency in all products. The Cannabis Experience Specialist should always maintain the highest standards, acting as the representative face for the dispensary. In addition there will be a rotation with delivery driving, most likely 50% of the time will be spent on delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: The full cycle experience of every guest, including enthusiastic, positive tone, words and body language, recommendation and information about product offerings, Peak Beyond utilization and proper operation of inventory ordering & transacting. The Cannabis Experience Specialist will make product recommendations based on guidance on what products would be best for the guests, including answering questions on strain information, terpene information, ways to consume and how to use tools. Following regulatory requirements to dispense cannabis in NJ, including verification of ID, verification of age, and adherence of purchase limitations. Working as a team to maintain an effective, positive atmosphere and efficient service for all individuals. Cleaning, stocking, and organizing dispensary; working with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked in accordance with the Company's standards at all times. Quickly and precisely handling transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer. Assisting in daily operational responsibilities, including inventory processing and merchandising maintenance while maintaining accurate inventory levels. Maintaining high knowledge levels of cannabis and non-cannabis products, as well as staying up to date on information regarding cannabis regulatory changes and new products. Daily stocking and refilling of consumable dispensary supplies. Sharing feedback with the executive team regarding guest feedback, adverse events, or any information regarding operations that will aid in the overall success of A21 Wellness Dispensary. Maintaining functionality of all in-store technology systems, including Peak Beyond, TV Screen Displays, etc. A valid driver's license and active car insurance is required for all Cannabis Experience Specialists. Job duties involve delivery driving company-owned vehicles.
Physical Requirements:
Standing and Mobility:
requires the ability to stand for extended periods and move around the dispensary, including walking, climbing stairs, and sweeping/cleaning.
Lifting and Carrying:
may be required to lift and carry boxes of inventory or supplies weighing up to 25 lbs, occasionally.
Manual Dexterity:
involves tasks that require fine motor skills and manual dexterity, such as handling cash and small items, using a computer, and operating dispensary equipment.
Visual and Auditory Acuity:
must have sufficient vision and hearing capabilities to interact with staff, customers, and regulatory authorities. This includes reading labels, monitoring security cameras, and communicating effectively.
Sensory Perception:
must be able to assess the quality, appearance, and smell of cannabis products to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Hours:
This role requires weekend work and may require after-hours work.
