SALES CLERKSweet Charity Resale Boutique A fundraising retail store supporting The Nest Domestic Violence Shelter Sweet Charity Resale Boutique is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Sales Clerk to join our team. Sweet Charity supports the mission of Help End Abuse for Life (HEAL) and The Nest by generating revenue that helps provide critical services to survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Position:

Sales Clerk Starting Pay:

$13.00 per hour

Pay Increase:

$14.00 per hour after successful completion of 90 days

Schedule:

Part-time/full-time hours may be available Job Responsibilities Provide friendly and professional customer service. Operate the cash register and accurately process cash, credit/debit, and other transactions. Open and close the register according to store procedures. Sort, organize, and process donated clothing, household goods, furniture, and other merchandise. Inspect donations for quality, cleanliness, and suitability for resale. Prepare merchandise for the sales floor, including tagging, pricing, hanging, and displaying items. Keep the store clean, organized, and attractive for customers. Restock and maintain sales-floor displays. Assist customers with questions and locating merchandise. Follow all store policies and procedures. Assist with other duties as assigned by the store manager. Qualifications Reliable and dependable with excellent attendance. Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer-service skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable handling cash and operating a register. Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, sorting, and moving merchandise. Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred but not required.

ATTENDANCE IS ESSENTIAL

Because Sweet Charity is a small retail operation, reliable attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position. Employees are expected to arrive on time for scheduled shifts and be prepared to work. Frequent call-outs, tardiness, or unreliable attendance may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Why Work at Sweet Charity?
