Counter Person - Full Time Afternoons/Evenings (1pm-9pm) Nick's Corner Market - 2.0 Armonk, NY Job Details Full-time $17 - $20 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Serving Sales transaction processing English Driver's License Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description Nick's Pizza & Ice Cream is a family-owned pizza shop at 405 Bedford Rd in Armonk, NY, next door to Nick's Corner Market. We're hiring a full time counter person. You'll work directly with Dan, the owner, on a small, steady crew. Counter person 1pm to 9pm Monday through Saturday - six days, 48 hours $17-$20 per hour What you'll be doing, in the owner's own words: Tending to customers in person and over the phone Working the HungerRush point of sale system Taking orders over the phone Serving ice cream Providing exceptional customer service Read this part before you apply. The phone is a real part of this job. Dinner rush means the phone is ringing while there are people at the counter, and you are the one handling both. If that is not your thing, better to know now. You do not need to have used HungerRush before - we will train you on the system. What we can't train is being good with people when it's busy.
What actually matters:
Reliable transportation. The shift ends at 9pm, six nights a week, and Armonk has very little transit running that late - your own car is effectively required. Showing up. Six days a week, every week. That is most of the job. Enough English to take orders over the phone and help customers at the counter. Bilingual Spanish on top of that is a real plus. 18 years or older.What we offer:
