World Ice Arena is seeking seasonal skate guards and guest services team. A Skate Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all skaters during public skating sessions. The Skate Guard monitors ice rink activity, enforces rink rules, assists skaters when needed, and provides first-level response in case of accidents or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor the ice during public sessions to ensure skater safety. Enforce all rink rules in a polite but firm manner. Respond promptly to injuries or incidents and provide basic first aid if trained. Assist skaters with entering and exiting the ice safely. Help maintain a clean and hazard-free ice surface (e.g., remove debris, cones, etc.). Report any dangerous behavior, equipment malfunctions, or unsafe conditions to management. Provide excellent customer service by assisting and answering patron questions. Assist with skate rentals and returns when needed. Perform opening or closing duties as assigned. Check wristbands and entrance Answering phones/customer service Point of sale/cash management

Qualifications:

Must be a competent and confident ice skater. Friendly and approachable with strong communication skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond to emergencies. CPR/First Aid certification preferred (will train). Previous experience in a customer service or recreational setting is a plus. Must be at least 16+

Working Conditions:

Work is performed on and around an outdoor ice; rink can be cold and slippery. Requires standing, skating, and moderate physical activity for extended periods.
