We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and appreciated. Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and friendly Convenience Store Clerk to join our team! In this role, you will be the face of our store, delivering outstanding customer service while efficiently managing daily store operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive shopping experience for every guest. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product recommendations and demos Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well-merchandised Upsell products by suggesting complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders over the phone Conduct product demos to promote new or featured items and encourage sales Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves and monitoring product levels Experience Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team members or training new staff Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are beneficial for serving diverse customers Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and performing retail math calculations Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and upselling techniques will help you succeed in this role Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette Join us at Clawson's Deli and Grocery to become part of a lively team dedicated to delivering top-notch service while growing your retail expertise!
