Lulu's Bakery is seeking a reliable, hardworking and highly motivated individual for a permanent, full-time Counter Sales position.

We are specifically looking for someone who wants stable, long-term, full-time employment. This is NOT a temporary, seasonal, summer, part-time, or short-term position. WHAT WE EXPECT

Our bakery is a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position requires much more than simply standing behind a counter and ringing up customers. The right candidate must be able to: Consistently work 5 days per week Work most weekends Work holidays when the bakery is open Arrive on time and ready to work for every scheduled shift Maintain reliable and consistent attendance Work quickly without sacrificing accuracy Handle multiple customers and tasks at the same time Remain professional and courteous during busy and stressful periods Follow instructions from management and shift leaders Accept direction and constructive feedback Learn our products, procedures and ordering system Pay close attention to details when taking and preparing customer orders Maintain a very clean, organized work area at all times Take initiative instead of waiting to be told every task that needs to be done Work cooperatively with other employees Help wherever needed during busy periods

RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily responsibilities include: Greeting and assisting customers Taking orders accurately Packaging cakes, pastries, cookies and other bakery products Handling cash and credit card transactions Answering customer questions Assisting customers with bakery orders Restocking and maintaining bakery displays Keeping showcases, counters and customer areas clean Cleaning and organizing throughout the shift Following bakery procedures Completing assigned opening, closing and general cleaning duties Assisting other team members when necessary

THE PERSON WE WANT

We are looking for someone who is: Dependable. If you are scheduled, we expect you to be at work and on time. Hardworking. There is always something to do in a busy bakery. Fast-moving. You must be comfortable working at a steady pace throughout your shift. Detail-oriented. Accuracy is extremely important when handling customer orders. Clean and organized. Maintaining a clean bakery and work area is part of the job—not an occasional task. Professional. You will be dealing directly with customers and representing our business. A team player. Employees are expected to help each other and follow the direction of management and shift leaders. Interested in staying long-term. We invest time in training our employees and are looking for someone who wants a stable position. Previous bakery, food service, counter, cashier or retail experience is preferred, but we will train an exceptional candidate with the right attitude, reliability and work ethic.
