Job Description
Job Summary The Retail Associate will be tasked with providing exemplary customer service and business growth. This will be accomplished by maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming retail environment, developing sufficient product knowledge to assist customers, and offering additional products and services that complement the customer's pool/spa experience. Key Responsibilities Start of Day
- Sanitize all commonly used surfaces in both the retail showroom and pool counter, including computer equipment, phones, counters, and spas.
- Inspect and clean display spas, saunas, and cold plunge pools as needed.
- Arrange furniture to ensure safe traffic flow through the retail showroom.
- Bring out furniture and floats that have been earmarked for outside display.
- Unlock gates and shed.
- Bring out pallets of liquid chlorine, DE, and salt. Bring out an additional pallet for empty carboys.
- Check for outgoing mail and bring it to the mailbox (with flag up). During the Day
- Provide prompt, friendly service at the counter or in the showroom.
- Answer the phone as needed.
- Ensure that stock items are cleaned, and that all shelves are stocked and priced. Items include, but are not limited to: all chemicals, nets, brushes, thermometers/gauges, test strips, vacuum heads, skimmers, chlorinators, automatic cleaner displays, and spa cartridges. ○ Record items that need to be replenished and advise a supervisor.
- Refill reagents in the lab, and keep testing items and the lab clean.
- Keep the facility neat, clean, and well-organized, including removal of trash and recyclables, vacuuming/mopping of appropriate areas, stacking of empty carboys on the appropriate outdoor pallet, and maintenance/cleaning of spas.
- Maintain the outdoor inground pool, and alert service personnel if cleaning is required.
- Check inbound shipments to ensure that all items are present, and submit packing slips to office personnel. Put all new deliveries away by the end of the day.
- Call customers to notify them of special order arrivals that do not require installation. End of the Day
- Perform end of day cleaning: vacuuming, sanitizing, cleaning the lab sink, removing trash and recyclables.
- Lock all gates, including the shed and the inground pool.
- Bring in furniture as appropriate.
- Shut off upstairs warehouse lights and bay door is closed.
- Clean the parking lot.
- Back up the lab computer and batch out both credit card terminals.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times, including wearing a company uniform. Qualifications Education
- High school diploma. Experience
- 1 year of pool experience preferred.
