Job Description

Sales Associate As a Sales Associate at The Toy Box, you are the face of our store — delivering exceptional customer service while keeping our shelves stocked and our space clean, organized, and inviting. You'll help customers find the perfect toy, process their purchases at the register, and ensure the store always looks its best. Your energy and attention to detail will directly shape the experience of every family that walks through our doors. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Greet every customer warmly and make them feel welcome from the moment they enter. Listen closely to customer needs, offer product recommendations, and guide them toward age-appropriate toys and games. Handle inquiries, resolve concerns, and address any issues promptly and professionally. Share knowledge of new arrivals, popular products, and current promotions. Provide gift wrapping when requested, adding a lollipop to each package for a memorable finishing touch. Stocking Receive, unpack, and organize incoming inventory efficiently and accurately. Restock shelves and displays throughout the shift, ensuring products are full, faced, and priced correctly. Rotate and reorganize merchandise to keep displays fresh and shoppable. Monitor stock levels and flag low or out-of-stock items to management. Store Maintenance Keep the sales floor, checkout area, and back stock clean, tidy, and free of clutter. Straighten shelves, displays, and product throughout the day. Maintain a safe, hazard-free environment for customers and staff. Replenish supplies (bags, register materials, wrapping supplies) as needed. Cashier Duties Operate the register accurately, processing cash, credit/debit, and other payment types. Ensure all sales are recorded correctly and transactions are completed efficiently. Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked.

Compensation Hours:

Weekdays, Part-time — 20 hours per week.

Pay:

$17.50/hr starting wage, with increases based on time-in-role and performance.
