About Road to Nowhere Road to Nowhere is an elevated contemporary clothing brand based in Montauk, where we design our entire collection. We have three retail stores in New York (Sag Harbor, Montauk, Kingston), a wholesale business across 16+ states, and a growing e-commerce business. Our clothing is made in Los Angeles and Portugal using natural fabrics, and we carry a thoughtfully curated selection of third-party accessories and footwear that complement the collection. We're a founder-run brand. Not corporate, not parachuted in from somewhere else. We're planning to open more stores in the coming years. For someone who wants it, there's room to grow here. The role We're hiring a Sales Associate for our Sag Harbor store, our highest-volume location and the one most customers think of first. You're on the floor. Most days you're the first person a customer meets, and on a good day you're the reason they come back. Hours and benefits This is a part-time or full-time role, and we can flex the weekly hours for the right person. Weekends are required, year-round. Full-time roles include health, dental and vision insurance, store discounts, and paid time off. What you'll do Greet and help customers, and know the collection well enough to make a real recommendation instead of a guess Sell our own collection alongside the third-party accessories and footwear we carry Run Shopify POS accurately, including returns, exchanges, and transfers Keep the floor stocked, folded, and merchandised the way we want it seen Receive shipments, process inventory, and help with counts Support our summer pop-up and event nights: setup, hosting, and selling Open or close the store on your scheduled shifts Tell the manager and the founders what you're hearing from customers. You're closer to them than anyone. You probably Have relevant retail experience. This one is a requirement for us, not a nice to have. Have worked somewhere the customer expects to be helped rather than processed, ideally apparel or specialty retail Can sell genuinely, not pushily, and know the difference Are genuinely fine working weekends year-round Are reliable and on time, and are as steady on a quiet Tuesday as on a packed Saturday Are comfortable running the floor on your own during quieter shifts Know Shopify POS or can learn it fast Have a sense of style that aligns with the brand (you don't have to dress like our customer, but you should get them) Can stand for a full shift and lift boxes up to about [30] pounds
