Budtender / Cannabis Sales Advisor (PART TIME) - Leafology of White Plains Leafology - 2.5 White Plains, NY Job Details Part-time $18 - $20 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Retail sales transactions Customer communication Customer relationship building Client rapport building Needs-based selling POS systems Full Job Description About Leafology Leafology is Westchester County's first CAURD-licensed adult-use cannabis dispensary, a family-operated business founded by women, minorities, and veterans. We're a premium destination, not a transactional storefront. Our floor runs on product expertise, genuine customer connection, and measurable sales performance. If you want a job where you ring people up and chat about weed, this isn't it. The Role Your title is Budtender. Your job is sales. You'll guide every customer through tailored recommendations, build baskets that reflect real product fit (not just upsell scripts), and turn first-time visitors into regulars who ask for you by name. Performance is tracked. Top performers earn more, advance faster, and shape the floor culture. What You'll Own Drive revenue. Engage every customer, qualify their needs, and recommend with intent. Hit your numbers consistently. Hit your KPIs. Daily, weekly, and monthly targets on average order value, units per transaction, conversion, and loyalty sign-ups. You'll see your numbers. So will we. Know the catalog cold. Strains, cultivars, terpene profiles, consumption methods, dosing, new arrivals. If a customer asks, you have an answer, and a follow-up question that leads somewhere useful. Build the book. Repeat customers are the business. Cultivate relationships that survive their next visit. Run clean transactions. Cash handling, ID verification, METRC-compliant sales, and POS accuracy, every time, no shortcuts. What We Need From You A real sales track record. Verifiable history of meeting or exceeding goals. Commission-based, high-volume retail, wireless, luxury, or automotive backgrounds translate well. "I'm a people person" doesn't. Cannabis literacy. You don't need to be a sommelier on day one, but you need a working foundation and the appetite to go deeper fast. We train. We don't teach the basics. Goal-oriented mindset. You read your numbers. You want to beat last week. You compete with yourself before you compete with anyone else. Sharp communication. You can read a customer in 30 seconds and adjust. You ask better questions than most. Reliability. Show up, on time, ready. Cannabis retail is regulated, attendance and integrity aren't negotiable. Why Leafology Performance culture that pays. KPI-based bonuses, clear advancement criteria, and a team where the top performers actually move up. We promote from within. First-mover position. Working at the first CAURD-licensed shop in Westchester carries weight in this industry. Your resume reflects that. Real ownership of your floor time. You're not reading from a script. You build your customer relationships and your numbers.
