In this role, you'll assist with cutting, wrapping, and merchandising meat, maintain full, well organized cases, and follow strict food safety and sanitation standards. You'll answer customer questions, provide product recommendations, and ensure accurate pricing and labeling. Responsibilities Cut, trim, and portion meat products under supervision and according to company standards Wrap, weigh, price, and label meat items accurately Stock and rotate product in cases, coolers, and backroom to ensure freshness and availability Maintain strict food safety, temperature logs, and sanitation standards in work and display areas Operate meat department equipment safely, following all cleaning and maintenance procedures Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and make product recommendations Maintain accurate signage and pricing for all meat items and promotions Assist with inventory counts and reporting low or out of stock items Support daily department set up, merchandising, and closing duties Work collaboratively with store and department team members to meet sales and service goals Required Skills Meat cutting basics Food safety and sanitation Customer service Knife handling Product stocking and rotation Cash handling/register use Basic equipment operation (slicers, grinders) Cleaning and sanitizing procedures Temperature monitoring Inventory control
