This role oversees daily retail operations, delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, managing inventory, and ensuring a welcoming experience for both pets and their people. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who loves animals, is passionate about animal nutrition health and wellness, and enjoys helping customers find the best products for their pets. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Build relationships with customers and their pets. Educate customers on pet nutrition, wellness products, and services. Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment. Sales & Store Operations Help achieve sales goals and key performance metrics. Promote retail products, grooming services, self-wash stations, and loyalty programs. Assist with merchandising, product placement, and promotional displays. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Open and close the store according to company procedures. Inventory Management Receive and verify product shipments. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering. Ensure shelves remain fully stocked and properly faced. Track and report damaged, expired, or slow-moving inventory. Grooming & Wellness Support Coordinate communication between retail and grooming teams. Assist with appointment inquiries and service recommendations. Promote wellness services, grooming packages, and nutrition consultations. Ensure a positive experience for grooming clients and their pets. Qualifications Previous pet retail experience required. Strong customer service and communication skills. Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented. Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
