Job Description

Job Overview The ReStore Customer Service Associate is responsible for assisting customers and providing the ultimate in customer service serving as ambassadors for Habitat for Humanity. They are the first and last smiling faces customers see as they enter and leave the store. They will develop and maintain good relations with customers, donors, volunteers and partners. Customer Service Welcome customers/donors as they enter the ReStore. Assist customers on the sales floor. Help customers and managers load and unload furniture, building supplies, and miscellaneous donations - Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs unassisted! Donation Processing Maintain a clean and safe sales floor and work area. Receive incoming donations from the truck drivers and donors and place them in the proper location for cleaning. Cleaning of all donated and purchased products. Move priced items to the sales floor. Adhere to the ReStore's recycling efforts. Lifting and moving furniture, doors and other large items. Sales Floor Monitor Sales Floor for items to discount to keep merchandise rotating. Reorganize aisles and shelves to maintain clean and neat display of items. Assisting customers by answering questions and enhancing their shopping experience.

Skills and Personal Characteristics:
Integrity, credibility, commitment to Habitat's mission. Attention to detail and overall quality control. Strong interpersonal skills, dealing well with a variety of people, personalities and backgrounds. Excellent written and verbal communication and public relations skills. Ability to walk and/or stand on feet for up to eight hours per day. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
Experience:
Experience in a retail environment. Pass a criminal and credit background check. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
