Job Description

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton is committed to bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Through our ReStores, we generate funding for our mission while providing affordable home improvement items to the community. We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused ReStore Associate for our Springfield location to support daily operations, assist donors and customers, and help manage donations and volunteers. Position Summary The ReStore Associate assists the ReStore Manager with daily operations, donation pickups, customer service, volunteer engagement, and warehouse organization. This position plays a key role in creating a positive shopping and donation experience while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and organized ReStore environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities ReStore Operations Assist with opening and operating the ReStore as needed. Effectively answer and direct telephone calls. Process, sort, price, and prepare donated merchandise for sale. Maintain organized and attractive product displays. Keep sales floor and warehouse areas safe, clean, and organized. Help manage inventory flow throughout the ReStore. Volunteer Engagement Provide a positive experience for volunteers by engaging them in meaningful and productive activities. Supervise and guide volunteers while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Promote a safe and welcoming environment for all volunteers. Additional Responsibilities Assist with maintaining warehouse organization and efficiency. Follow all Habitat for Humanity safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Valid driver's license with a good driving record. High School Diploma or GED. Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with staff, customers, donors, and volunteers. Preferred Customer service and cashier experience Retail, warehouse, or donation center experience. Volunteer supervision experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong commitment to Habitat for Humanity's mission and values. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Professional, courteous, and cooperative demeanor. Honest, dependable, and trustworthy. Ability to follow through on responsibilities and work independently. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies. Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and warehouse operations. Pay:
$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
