Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. We are open 7 days/week. You will be expected to work weekends. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Responsibilities Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance as needed. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to better assist customers. Supervise junior staff members when required, ensuring adherence to store policies. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stock areas. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store. Skills Proven sales experience in a retail environment is preferred. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing. Strong upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities. Experience supervising staff or leading teams is advantageous. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally. Previous experience in a grocery store setting is beneficial but not required. Proficient in retail math for accurate inventory management and sales reporting.
