Full Job Description Hourly Pay :
$17.50 to $18.00 per hour
Role Summary:
The Sales Associate is a driven-individual who is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service. They play an integral part in keeping our stores clean, organized, and shoppable for our customers. The Sales Associate thinks and behaves in alignment with HouseMart's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service :
Greets every customer and provides them with personalized assistance to ensure they have a positive experience in our stores.
Store Visuals and Merchandising :
Assists in setting up and breaking down regular, seasonal, and/or promotional displays. Regularly organizes and maintains presentation of merchandise.
Sales and Product Knowledge :
Builds customer loyalty through suggestive selling and product knowledge. Maintains knowledge on current and advertised store products.
Inventory :
Able to perform weekly physical counts of merchandise and efficiently handle all register transactions to maintain accurate inventory of products.
Safety and Security :
Works in a safe manner and actively practices prevention methods to protect yourself and others.

Willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs (Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays included).
Strong Communication :
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with store management.
Team-Oriented :
Ability to work and collaborate with fellow team members, store management, and customers.
Organized and Detail-Oriented :
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic mathematical skills.
Critical Thinking Skills :
Ability to work under pressure, demonstrate effective decision-making, and exercise sound judgement.
Qualifications:
Customer Service, Retail, and Cash Handling experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to understand and follow instructions. General knowledge and experience with computer systems and two-way radios.
Working Conditions:
Work Environment :
Will work under regular store conditions. Occasional exposure to heat, dust, solvents, chemicals, paint, glue, etc.
Equipment and Tools :
Occasional use of store equipment including, but is not limited to two-way radios, hand tools, key machines, paint mixers, computer systems, printers, fax, and other miscellaneous hand tools.
Physical Demands :
Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 60lbs of material, in addition to lifting and maneuvering up to 100lbs. using a hand truck, on occasion.
