Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. Duties Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations. Assist in merchandising efforts by organizing product displays and ensuring shelves are stocked and well-presented. Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store to enhance the shopping experience. Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Utilize effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries. Engage with customers in both English and another language if bilingual, enhancing communication with diverse clientele. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence. Familiarity with cashiering duties and cash handling procedures. Basic math skills for transaction processing and retail math applications. Experience in merchandising and stocking products effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when necessary. Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory. A willingness to learn about products and services offered in-store.
