Description Retail Sales & Coffee Machine Cleaning Associate Position Summary We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Retail Sales & Machine Cleaning Associate to join our team. This position is primarily focused on retail sales, customer service, and helping customers find the right coffee products and equipment. When customer traffic is slower, the successful candidate will stay productive by cleaning and maintaining coffee machines, restocking products, organizing displays, and completing other tasks that keep the store running smoothly. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys working with people, has a strong sales mindset, takes pride in cleanliness, and believes in always staying busy and finding the next task that needs to be done. Key Responsibilities Retail Sales & Customer Service Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Learn about customers' needs and recommend coffee, equipment, supplies, and other products.
Promote products and services while providing excellent customer service.
Work toward individual and/or team sales goals.
Participate in sales incentive programs and promotions.
Operate the cash register/POS system and accurately process transactions.
Maintain attractive, organized, and fully stocked retail displays.
Answer customer questions about coffee products and equipment.
Build positive relationships with customers and encourage repeat business. Coffee Machine Cleaning & Maintenance Clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders, brewers, and related equipment according to company procedures.
Complete routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment.
Identify equipment that needs additional attention and report maintenance concerns to management.
Keep work areas, counters, displays, and customer areas clean and presentable.
Follow all safety and sanitation procedures. Staying Productive During Downtime Restock merchandise and supplies.
Organize inventory and retail displays.
Clean equipment and work areas.
Check expiration dates and rotate products as needed.
Complete assigned cleaning and organizational tasks.
Look for additional ways to improve the appearance and operation of the store.
Take initiative rather than waiting to be given the next task. Qualifications Previous retail, sales, customer service, or food/beverage experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable talking with customers and recommending products.
Motivated by sales goals and incentives.
Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Able to work independently and stay productive during slower periods.
Willingness to learn coffee products, equipment, and cleaning procedures.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform routine cleaning throughout the workday.
