Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Schedule varies and is dependent on the event calendar, weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change and may require late shift hours.

Pay:

$15/hour EPZ Team Member Responsibilities Assist the Zoo in fostering an appreciation of wildlife and the environment that will inspire active participation in conservation Assist Management in ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all areas of the operation of the Zoo Follow and adhere to all policies and procedures for their specific department and the Zoo at all times. Essential Responsibilities Ensure guests are properly greeted Communicate effectively with all guests and groups. Assist with all guest needs Operate point of sale system and cash register, managing transactions and ensuring a balanced till Contribute to the organization and neatness both behind the counter, and on the sales floor Assist with receiving, pricing, and stocking merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedure Perform other duties as assigned by the management team Qualification Requirements Prior cash handling experience required Excellent customer service skills including: conflict resolution, de-escalation, greeting and guest engagement Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to remain composed and attentive in large crowds Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods Ability to carry/lift up to 40lbs, repeatedly Occasionally required to climb and/or work on a ladder Self-motivated Must be able to pass background and child abuse clearances Two forms of official valid identification are required
