Overview Global Packaging, Inc, is a Global leader in the field of Flexographic Printing for the private label and branded markets of diapers, sanitary products, towels, tissue, and napkins as well as frozen food packaging and baked goods. The Global Packaging team is dedicated to the continuous building of a diverse community, where each employee feels valued for their contributions coupled with the perspectives they bring. We are expanding operations in Oaks PA facility and are excited to add an Ink Technician to our team! Professionals possessing a strong understanding of color theory, chemistry, and print production processes Apply today! The Ink Technician is responsible for preparing, matching, testing, and maintaining printing inks to ensure consistent color quality and optimal press performance. The role works closely with production, quality, and press operators to meet customer specifications while minimizing down time. Responsibilities Previous experience as an Ink Technician or flexographic, gravure, offset or digital printing preferred. Mix and formulate inks according to customer specifications and color standards. Perform precise color matching using Pantone, customers samples and other. Adjust print ink viscosity, pH, and other properties to maintain quality. Supply Ink to printing presses and monitor ink performance throughout productions. Maintain accurate ink formulation and inventory records. Troubleshoot color and print quality issues with Press Operators. Clean and maintain ink mixing equipment and workstations Follow GMP, BRC, safety and environmental procedures when handling ink and chemicals. Reduce waste through efficient ink management and recycling practices Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve print quality and production efficiency. Other duties assigned as needed. Skills Proficiency in measurement techniques including dimensional measurements and quality control inspections. Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment issues effectively through engineering troubleshooting skills. Experience with flexible packaging or commercial printing. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments. Knowledge of safety protocols related to manufacturing environments to ensure a secure workspace. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
