Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Milling Lead to oversee and coordinate all activities related to milling operations within our manufacturing facility. We are a hardwood flooring manufacturer located in central Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will lead a team of operators, ensure adherence to safety standards, and maintain high-quality production processes. The Milling Lead will play a crucial role in optimizing equipment performance, managing material handling, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to meet production goals. Duties Supervise daily milling operations, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal machine performance Lead and train team members on milling equipment operation, safety protocols, and manual handling procedures Monitor and maintain safety standards in accordance with industry regulations and company policies Oversee equipment maintenance schedules, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and coordinate repairs as needed Ensure proper storage, transfer, and quality control of raw materials and finished products Skills Experience in a milling environment. Familiar with high-speed molders. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on milling machinery Proficiency in machine operation including heavy equipment such as forklifts and material handling equipment Familiarity with safety standards in manufacturing environments. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, quantities, and quality assessments Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence during heavy lifting and manual handling tasks Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency Join us as a Milling Lead to be at the forefront of innovative manufacturing processes!
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 per week
