Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Parts Counter Associate to join our lawn and garden team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and assisting with mower parts sales and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mower parts and repair processes, along with excellent communication skills. Prior dealership or retail experience is a plus. This position offers an engaging environment where organizational skills and technical knowledge contribute directly to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct mower parts and accessories Manage inventory control, including stocking, order fulfillment, and maintaining accurate stock levels Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and processing payments efficiently Provide assistance with new mower sales Maintain organized records using Microsoft Excel or software for inventory management and order tracking Communicate effectively with customers via phone etiquette and in-person interactions to address inquiries and resolve issues Support dealership marketing efforts by promoting products and services to enhance sales opportunities Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely parts availability for repairs and maintenance Uphold cleanliness and organization of the parts department area to ensure safety and efficiency Skills Strong knowledge of small engine diagnostics, repair, and service procedures Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service expertise Proficiency in inventory management systems like POS platforms Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions and inventory control Experience with dealership operations, automotive repair, or retail sales is a plus Organizational skills necessary for stocking, order fulfillment, and maintaining an orderly work environment Negotiation skills to assist customers in selecting appropriate parts while maximizing sales opportunities Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for record keeping and data analysis This position is integral to delivering outstanding customer experiences while ensuring efficient parts operations within our dealership. $17.00 - $22.35 per hour
