Job Description:
Front Desk Associate — Patient Care and Office Coordination — Sewickley Join our established downtown Sewickley dental practice as a Front Desk Associate and become a key member of a compassionate, patient-first team. We are looking for a friendly, reliable individual with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. This role is best suited to someone who thrives on face-to-face interaction, enjoys solving problems, and can juggle multiple administrative tasks while keeping the patient experience comfortable and efficient.
Key duties include:
Opening and closing the office each day in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure readiness and security Managing a multi-line phone system: answering calls, returning voicemails, and coordinating messages for clinical staff Welcoming patients, handling timely and accurate check-ins and check-outs, and providing clear instructions about next steps Scheduling new and follow-up appointments, confirming upcoming visits, and conducting recall outreach to maintain continuity of care Processing patient payments and copays accurately, maintaining proper handling of patient financial transactions Verifying insurance coverage and eligibility before appointments to streamline clinical workflow Assisting patients with billing questions and helping them understand statements or payment options Proactively contacting patients to schedule or reschedule treatment and helping close open treatment plan items Performing chart audits to ensure records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date for clinical review Supporting other administrative functions as needed to keep the office running smoothly and support clinical staff While prior dental office experience is preferred, we encourage enthusiastic, quick-learning candidates to apply; dental assistants interested in front desk responsibilities are welcome. This is a 32-38 hour per week position with benefits including a company 401(k) after six months, medical insurance, and paid time off after 90 days.
