The Role We're looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team on the sales floor. You'll be the face of the shop for your customers - helping them find the perfect gift, building relationships with regulars, and representing our brands with genuine care and product knowledge. This role suits someone who takes pride in beautiful presentation, enjoys connecting with people, and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven boutique environment What You'll Do Greet and assist customers on the sales floor, offering attentive, knowledgeable service that reflects the shop's reputation for hospitality. Build product expertise across our brand portfolio (china, crystal, tabletop, home decor, jewelry, and stationery) to make informed recommendations. Support bridal registry customers - setting up registries, processing registry orders, and following up with registrants and gift-givers. Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including special orders, gift wrapping, and shipping requests.

Maintain visual merchandising standards:

keep displays, shelves, and the sales floor clean, organized, and beautifully presented. Handle gift wrapping and packaging to the shop's high presentation standard. Answer phone inquiries and assist with online or special orders as needed. Support seasonal setup and holiday events, including evening or weekend hours during peak periods. What We're Looking For Prior retail, boutique, or customer service experience preferred, ideally in home goods, gifts, or a similar specialty environment. A warm, outgoing personality with genuine enthusiasm for helping customers. Strong attention to detail - comfortable handling fine china, crystal, and other delicate merchandise with care. Reliable, punctual, and able to work a set schedule including some weekends and holiday-season hours. Basic comfort with point-of-sale systems and computers; willingness to learn our systems. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (unpacking and merchandising stock). A team-first attitude and pride in representing a long-standing local business.

Pay:

From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 32.0 per week
