At CCL Tube we provide state-of-the-art packaging solutions in plastic tubes and innovative product labeling to some of the world's largest producers of consumer brands in personal care, cosmetics, & pharmaceutical products.
The Wilkes-Barre, PA facility has an immediate opening for Ink Technicians working 7am-7pm (3-4 days per week).

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
The Ink Technician is responsible for timely and accurate mixing of inks and preparation of plates, screens, and printing supplies.by performing the following duties
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Mixing of inks per production specifications
Prepare and expose printing plates for production use.
Prepare and expose silk-screen frames for production use.
Prepare all necessary forms, labels and paperwork needed for production job jackets.
Complete weekly inventory of inks, plates and supplies and place orders to keep supplies in stock.
Formulate new inks to submit for customer approval.
Have inks ready/maintained for 24-hour uninterrupted production.
Communicate closely with Supervisor so production has materials needed for oncoming shifts, i.e., nights/weekends.
Perform preventative maintenance of ink/plate equipment.
Prepare color standards/ranges to submit for customer approval.
Reformulate and draw down inks to match color meeting customer specifications.
Supply production lines with gloves, rags and printing supplies as needed.
Inspect incoming inks and supplies.
Communication with Production Scheduler and Customer Service Department to provide details of "common jobs" and jobs that are not "production ready".
Maintains inventory of blended inks and plates.
Must have color specifications established without ink-related issues through a thorough understanding of quality standards.
Complies with all company personnel and safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines.
