Elkhart, IN Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Internship $55,000 - $125,000 a year 2 days ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Referral program Qualifications Vendor relationship building Pricing Basic math Research E-commerce Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Sales Customer Experience Product Expert Problem Solver Future Leadership Elkhart, Indiana Hybrid Remote+In-Person | Full-Time | $55,000-$63,000 Base + Performance Bonuses | Growth Opportunity Are you the person everyone calls when something needs to get done? We're looking for a high-energy, highly resourceful Sales & Operations Manager to join our growing team in northern Indiana. This is not a traditional desk job. We sell off road vehicle hard parts, accessories, wheels, tires, batteries, lift kits, seats, and much more through our online stores. Approximately 70-75% of our orders are shipped and coordinated directly from our vendors , while roughly 25-30% are fulfilled through our warehouse . We need someone who can learn, sell, fulfill, delivery happiness, solve problems, make decisions, work with customers, work with vendors, and jump into the warehouse when needed. If you are the type of person who hears a problem and thinks: "I don't know the answer yet, but I'll figure it out" you may be exactly who we're looking for.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
EVERYTHING
SELL & CLOSE
Respond quickly to customer inquiries and sales opportunities Talk to customers by phone, email, chat, and in person Follow up with leads and customers until the opportunity is closed Build relationships and turn questions into sales Upsell and cross-sell products when appropriate Help customers find the right products for their specific golf cart Quote customers on custom product packages Price match when appropriate while protecting company margins Use numbers and gross margin to make smart discounting decisions Track sales performance and work toward measurable goals Occasionally get chewed out over the phone Explain to the person that chewed you out what is happening and comfort them Turn that customer from angry to happy to the point they will want to take you out for dinner We don't need someone who simply answers questions. We need someone who knows how to converse and actually listen to what people want. LEARN!
BECOME A PRODUCT EXPERT
You don't need to know everything about golf carts when you start. We sure didn't. You do need to be curious enough to learn. By the end of week one you will be highly knowledgeable about things like: Wheels & tires Lift kits Batteries & chargers Electrical components Seats & rear seat kits Windshields Lighting Suspension Accessories Installation and compatibility Different vehicle makes, models, and years Aftermarket parts When you don't know an answer, you find it. Call the manufacturer. Call the supplier. Research it. Ask someone who knows. Figure it out. We never expect you to pretend you know something you don't. We expect you use the brain God gave you to think critically for 10 seconds or to be resourceful enough to find the right answer.
GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY
(This is where you bring a change of clothes just in case) This position isn't entirely behind a computer. You'll occasionally work directly with our warehouse and products, including: Receiving inventory Checking shipments Pulling and organizing inventory Helping with fulfillment Troubleshooting orders Inspecting products Mounting tires Working with wheels and tires Understanding how parts physically fit and work Helping solve technical customer issues You should be comfortable using tools and working with your hands.
SOLVE PROBLEMS & MAKE DECISIONS
This may be the most important part of the job. Things will go wrong. A vendor will ship the wrong part. A customer will need something tomorrow. Inventory will be wrong. A product won't fit. A shipment will get lost. A customer will be upset. You'll have incomplete information. We don't want someone who waits for the boss to tell them what to do.
We want someone who can:
Assess → Decide → Act → Communicate → Learn You will have authority to make decisions, and occasionally you will make the wrong one. That's okay. We care much more about someone who learns from their decisions and gets better than someone who is afraid to make a decision at all.
THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You might be a great fit if you are: Extremely comfortable talking to people Naturally curious Competitive Persuasive without being pushy Highly organized Extremely responsive A fast learner Comfortable with technology Good with numbers Comfortable making decisions Mechanically inclined Resourceful Self-motivated Comfortable working independently Willing to pick up the phone and actually call someone Comfortable switching between sales, operations, and warehouse work Someone who notices problems before being asked Someone who takes ownership Someone who wants to grow Most importantly: You have a "figure it out" mentality. You don't say: "That's not my job." You say: "Let me see what I can do."
WHAT WE DON'T WANT
This position probably isn't for you if: You need someone constantly telling you what to do You don't like talking on the phone You avoid difficult customers You get frustrated when you don't immediately know the answer You aren't comfortable making decisions You don't like learning new products You only want to perform one specific task You aren't willing to help outside your normal responsibilities You think warehouse work is beneath you You don't care about the outcome as long as you completed your task We're a growing small business. Everyone matters. Everyone contributes. Everyone helps.
YOUR FUTURE HERE
We're not looking to hire someone just to fill a position. We're looking for someone who can grow with the company. This role has the potential to grow into: E-Commerce Sales & Operations Manager → Sales/Operations Leadership → General Manager As you prove yourself, you'll have opportunities to take on additional responsibility, manage people, improve processes, influence company strategy, and become a key member of our leadership team. Your growth will be tied to the value you create.
COMPENSATION
$55,000-$63,000 base salary
Plus:
Performance-based bonuses Sales incentives Opportunities for additional responsibility and compensation Career advancement High performers will have the opportunity to earn significantly more as they take on additional responsibility and help grow the business. WHY US? We're not a giant corporation where you're just another employee. We're a growing small business in a fun, unique industry where you can actually see the impact of your work. You'll learn: Sales. Task Juggling. Marketing. Products. Operations. Inventory. Customer service. Purchasing. Vendor relationships. Management. If you want to sit in a cubicle and do the same thing every day, this isn't it. If you want to learn a ton, work with great people, solve real problems, talk to customers, close sales, and help build something , we'd love to meet you.
HOW TO APPLY
When you apply, tell us why you think you'd be great for this position. Don't just send us a resume. Tell us about a time you: 1. Solved a difficult problem. 2. Closed a difficult sale. 3. Took ownership of something that wasn't technically your responsibility. 4. Learned something completely new and became good at it. We're looking for people who make things happen. If that's you, we want to hear from you!!
•Yes, the high end of the compensation is based off of hitting monthly sales performance goals that are realistic and can be hit if you work hard and close a lot of sales
