Abbey Carpets of Petaluma is looking for an Retail Flooring Sales Specialist to join our team and lead our efforts in building strong relationships with builders, contractors, designers, and architects. We are looking for someone with proven experience in sales , preferably in flooring or construction . Candidates should have excellent communication, presentation, and follow-up skills, the ability to self-manage and pursue new business independently, should have a strong network or willingness to build one in construction, design, and contracting circles. Candidate should have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally within Sonoma, Marin and Solano Counties. This position requires 10-15 hours a week in store and the rest of time cultivating leads and following with potential clients. You will be required to visit jobsites to take accurate measurements and assess jobsite conditions and report them to the office. As part of the job, candidates will develop new relationships with industry professionals to generate leads, visit job sites, assess customer needs, and take precise measurements, prepare accurate bids and compelling presentations for project owners, guide clients through flooring options in our modern, fully equipped showrooms in Petaluma and Benicia. Our showrooms and warehouses are stylish and well-stocked to support your sales efforts; you'll have access to the latest residential and commercial flooring products at competitive prices and a strong reputation in the market. We have experienced, certified in-house installation crews with reviews. Candidates will have administrative support in a supportive team environment. We will offer training with our state of the are flooring programs, compensate for travel expenses and a generous commission package.
