Ocean State Souvenirs is seeking a reliable Retail Store Clerk to join our team at our local souvenir and gift shop in Warwick, RI. As the face of our store, you'll help shoppers find unique New England keepsakes, maintain an inviting shop floor, and deliver top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly, assist with gift recommendations, and answer questions about merchandise and local attractions. Point of Sale (POS): Efficiently operate the cash register, process cash/credit card transactions, and issue receipts.

Inventory & Merchandising:

Unbox, tag, and restock merchandise; keep displays organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing.

Store Maintenance:

Maintain a tidy, clean, and organized storefront, counter area, and stockroom.

Opening/Closing:

Assist with daily opening and closing procedures as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Previous retail, customer service, or cashier experience preferred (not required—we will train the right candidate!). Basic math skills and comfort using a digital register/POS system. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a welcoming, customer-first mindset.
