Position Summary:
The Print Shop Clerk
- 2nd Shift is responsible for supporting daily print shop and mailroom operations in a high-volume production environment.
This role operates duplicating, imaging, bindery, shipping, and mail management equipment while ensuring quality control, organization, and timely completion of print and document service requests.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate high-volume copy and duplicating equipment
- Perform binding, finishing, and quality control tasks
- Operate document imaging systems and related software
- Generate reports for digital printing, imaging, and mail systems
- Open, save, transfer, and retrieve electronic files using established procedures
- Operate Microsoft Office and email systems for document management
- Maintain and troubleshoot copier equipment including clearing paper jams
- Coordinate service calls and communicate equipment issues to technicians
- Sort, distribute, and process incoming/outgoing mail, faxes, and packages
- Apply necessary postage and maintain postage systems
- Ship and receive products and supplies
- Maintain inventory records and supply levels
- Deliver completed jobs to designated customer locations
- Maintain daily service logs and meter readings
- Support filing, purging, and archiving of documents
- Perform meeting room and conference room setups as needed
- Support light maintenance duties and occasional cleaning tasks
- Operate bindery and print equipment including:
- Shrink-wrap machines
- Paper cutters
- Hole drills
- Tape machines
- Stackers
- Electric staplers
- Scales
- Travel between customer buildings when required
- Respond to customer questions regarding print job status and feasibility

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good organizational and prioritization abilities
- Strong attention to detail and quality checking skills
- Good PC and computer system skills
- Ability to operate office machines and technical equipment
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to multitask and manage workload efficiently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating high-volume print or copy machines preferred
- Experience with document imaging systems preferred
- Previous print shop, mailroom, office services, or production experience preferred
- Experience with bindery equipment and shipping/receiving processes preferred
Additional Information Candidates Should Know:
- This position is covering a leave of absence assignment
- Assignment duration may extend depending on business needs
- Strong performers may be considered for direct hire opportunities
- Occasional overtime, nights, weekends, or emergency response work may be required
- Position requires frequent standing, movement, lifting, and equipment operation
- This is an onsite role
