Whether assisting customers with their gardening needs, maintaining lush displays, or managing sales transactions, you'll be at the heart of a dynamic retail environment dedicated to growth and community engagement. Responsibilities Assist customers with their gardening needs while providing guidance and recommendations to customers on plant selection, care, and maintenance Maintain the appearance of the garden center by organizing and arranging plants and merchandise Water, prune, and care for plants to ensure their health and vitality Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system, handling cash, credit card, and other payment methods Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stocking merchandise Collaborate with team members to create attractive displays and promotional setups Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, or via email Assist with e-commerce operations, including online order fulfillment Requirements A basic knowledge of plants is required along with an enthusiasm to learn Ability and willingness to carry heavy items, such as bags of soil or potted plants Ability to work outdoors on your feet in various weather conditions Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive shopping experience Strong sales skills to connect with customers and sell products through thoughtful recommendations Attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in using a point-of-sale (POS) system for processing sales transactions and knowledge of e-commerce platforms This role offers an exciting chance to grow your expertise in gardening while delivering outstanding service in a lively retail setting.
