Retail Store Associate

As a Happiness Engineer & Gift Guru, you're not just a retail clerk; you're the heart and soul of our customer experience. You'll be the go-to expert for finding the perfect gift, creating unforgettable shopping experiences, and ensuring every customer leaves with a bit more joy than they came in with. This role is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people, has a knack for retail, and wants to make a real impact on our customers' day-to-day lives.

Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service that turns first-time visitors into regulars and regulars into friends. Use your gift-guru prowess to help customers find the perfect item, whether it's for a birthday, holiday, or just because. Process sales transactions with a smile, ensuring a smooth and pleasant checkout experience. Create a welcoming, fun atmosphere that makes every shopping experience feel like a visit with friends. Engage with the little ones, making their visit memorable with our unique selection of cuddly companions and more. Contribute to the store's visual merchandising and upkeep, ensuring the shop is always looking its best. Stay knowledgeable about our products and services to effectively sell and promote them to customers. Handle customer queries and concerns with empathy and efficiency, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.

PLEASE NOTE

Primary hours will be 3 pm until close (which is 6 p.m. most nights) and every other Saturday until the Christmas season and then close will be 8 p.m. and some Sundays.

Qualifications:

A genuine love for interacting with people and creating positive experiences. Previous experience in retail or customer service is a plus, but not a requirement. We believe in personality and passion over everything! Excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage easily with customers of all ages. A flair for creativity and a keen eye for detail, especially when it comes to gift selection and store aesthetics. Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays, because that's when the fun really happens! A team player attitude, ready to jump in and help out wherever needed.
